Junior Rylee Rice became the district champion for high jump after clearing a height of 1.54 meters.
“I’m really proud of myself for winning districts, and I know I could’ve gone higher if I wasn’t hurt,” Rice told Falcon News. “I’m hoping that a week of rest means I can set a new PR and win at state.”
The Falcons leave for Hayward Field at the University of Oregon on Thursday and Friday to compete in the state competitions.
