Elmira High School Theater Opens Its Curtains

The Elmira High School theater class is set to perform a comedy about a millionaire bachelor and his shenanigans in love on Friday and Saturday. The production will feature many surprises, twists, and laughs.

Performances start Friday with a show time at 6:30 p.m. It will be followed by a performance on Saturday at 1 p.m., as well as additional performances on Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m. and 20 at 1 p.m.

Doors will open 30 minutes before show time.

Tickets start at $8 for general admission and $5 for children and students.

The high school production is directed and produced by History and Theater teacher DesiRae Wright-Rendon.

“I am excited to see it all come together,” Wright-Rendon told Falcon News. “We have been working hard for the last couple of months and it is so rewarding to see all the elements that were separate come together and create a full production.”

The performances will have two different casts. Friday and Jan. 20 are the “purple cast” and Saturday and Jan. 19 are the “yellow cast.”
