This year Easter happens on Sunday, April 9.

There are many different ways people celebrate Easter. Some have a family dinner, some go to church, others celebrate privately at home, and then some go to large Easter egg hunts or drops.

Many people locally celebrate by going to the Veneta-Fern Ridge Area’s own Easter egg hunt!

This Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 8 at the Veneta Elementary School. Veneta Elementary School is located at 88131 Territorial Highway. This will take place at 11:00 a.m. for ages 1 to 10.

The attendants must bring a basket and each egg will contain a treat.

The event is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible, and it will happen no matter the weather!

The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance.

This event is organized by the Veneta Park Board and the Fern Ridge Kiwanis. There will be anywhere from 200 to 400 children celebrating Easter at this event.
