The girls and boys soccer teams at EHS faced off with the Santiam Christian Eagles on Tuesday.

Despite a tough battle from both Elmira teams, the Falcons lost their games.

The girl’s soccer team lost 0-5. Sadly, that was the last home game for the girl’s team this season. With only three games left, it was a tough loss.

When asked what the team needs to work on before their last few games, defender and co-captain of the varsity team, junior Jade Jones (#14) said, “I believe we need to work on confidence, we all work so hard, but just aren’t fully sure of ourselves. Last night was a difficult game but I’m so proud of my teammates and how hard they work even while being disrespected by the other team.”

The boy’s team lost 2-6. Despite the defeat, their defense stayed on point throughout the match and their offensive line remained aggressive.

The boy’s last home game is next Monday at 5:30 p.m. against Siuslaw. Make sure to wish them and the girls luck in their last few games of the season.
