The Falcons lost 1-3, but battled and put up a tough fight.

Head coach Tessa Slager says that the team needs to “talk to each other when we’re on the court.”

Junior Jayden Breaux agrees, pointing out that the team’s communication needs to be improved.

“I think the team needs to work on communicating better and going all out during games,” Breaux told Falcon News.

Leading in kills was Breaux with six. Ninth-grader Natalia Shoemaker and junior Morgan Hansen each had five. Senior Dayshah Conklin and sophomore Caydence Farrar had two and junior Josey Robbins had one.

Senior Lillian Ossowski and Breaux had two aces and ninth-grader Natalia Shoemaker finished with one.

Ossowski led with 14 assists. Junior Hannah Humphrey had five and Breaux had two.

The volleyball program put together a basket of pink items for a raffle. All funds from the ticket sales and raffle sales were donated to the Oregon Cancer Association.

In total, the team raised $281 to be donated in the name of former science teacher Debra St. Hilaire, who is currently battling cancer.
