Social Studies Teacher Patrick Wondra Is Happy to Be a Falcon

Social studies teacher Patrick Wondra is new to Elmira High School but not to the Fern Ridge School District. He transferred to EHS this year from Fern Ridge Middle School.

Wondra agreed to answer a few questions from Falcon News to help students and staff get to know him better.

  • What classes do you teach?: “I teach five periods of Global Studies for freshmen and then one period of Government to seniors.”
  •  Do you like teaching at Elmira High School?: “Yes, I do!”
  • What made you want to be a teacher?: “I wanted to be a teacher because I want to help people realize where we have been and understand where we are going.”
  •  What college did you attend?: “I went to Western Oregon University.”
  • What goals do you have?: “My goals are to be an effective teacher and continue to coach high school sports.”
  • Full name and nickname: “My full name is Patrick Wondra, and my nickname is Mr. Wondraful.”
  • Which sports do you coach?: “I currently coach high school football and high school track and field.”
  • What is your favorite sports team?: “The Seattle Seahawks.”
