On your marks … get ready … go and celebrate Veneta!
The city of Veneta is hosting the second annual Veneta Celebration Run on Sunday at Bolton Hill Ball Fields at Fifth Street and Bolton Hill Road.
There will be a 5K, a 10K and a Kids Dilly Dash.
Registration is $35 in advance and $40 the day of. Those who register will receive a goodie bag. The Kids Dash will be free.
Check-in and bib pickup will be at 8 a.m. near the start, and the race is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
The Kids Dash begins at 8:30 a.m. before the official race. Participants in the Dilly Dash each get a token to redeem for a free Dilly Bar.
There will be logo shirts available for $15.
All proceeds from the event will go to benefit Veneta parks.
