“Haikyuu!!” is an anime series about a boy’s high school volleyball team. Whether you like volleyball or not, “Haikyuu!!” is a fun anime to watch with its combination of dramatic, intense, but also sometimes funny scenes.
“Haikyuu!!” starts off with Hinata, a short middle school student who saw a volleyball player with a similar height compete on TV. The TV volleyball match gave Hinata a passion for volleyball and he ventured out to compete himself.
In his first real match against a team, Hinata suffers a defeat to “the king of the court” Kageyama Tobio. Hinata vows to improve and defeat Kageyama the next time they meet.
Hinata, now starting his first year at Karasuno High, realizes that he is on the same team as Kageyama, the player he swore to beat.
Now Hinata and Kageyama must put their differences aside and learn how to work together if they wish to stay on the team and continue to play volleyball.
For those interested in a dramatic anime, “Haikyuu!!” will surely have you on the edge of your seat!
Season 4 of “Haikyuu!!” will have an English dubbed version on March 29.
