Elmira High School juniors and seniors will get to celebrate their Prom in style this year with the theme “A Night in Greece.”
The event will be held May 10 at the Ford Alumni Center in Eugene from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tickets will be sold April 28 – May 7, but they will be at two different prices. The first week of sales, April 28 – May 2, will be a discount week. Prices will be $60 for a couple and $30 for a single.
The next week of sales, May 5-7, will be $70 for a couple and $45 for a single. ASB stickers cannot be used for a discounted price.
EHS Leadership has heard the concerns of the increased cost of tickets, but they cannot lower them anymore than what is provided for sales week. Tickets need to be higher than previous years to cover the expenses of Prom.
In past years, there have been complaints about how fun Prom is, or that it is not decorated enough. To address these complaints, Leadership has worked to add more fun things. This unfortunately results in an increased cost to cover the total expenses.
This year’s Prom will provide a food table, beautiful Greece themed decorations, a photo booth tablet, outdoor lighting, DJ and a designated spot for the voting of Prom King and Queen.
EHS students are encouraged to dress in formal entire.
This event is only available for juniors and seniors, with the exception of inviting an EHS sophomore who must have an approved guest pass. Guest passes are available in the front office.
