Falcon Softball Prepares for the Start of a New Season

The Elmira Softball team is gearing up for the 2024 season as it approaches quickly.

Falcons are preparing to go head-to-head with Dayton March 12 in their first game of the season.

The Falcon Softball season starts with two brand new coaches. New varsity head coach Rindy Spicer and new JV coach Mikaylah Hammontree.

Spicer spoke about your happiness with this group of girls.

“I am really excited to be a part of this group of girls and I think they will be very successful this season,” Spicer said

Hammontree expressed her love to be coaching these girls.

“I love being a part of this team already and I am so excited to help these girls grow,” Hammontree said.

Junior Layla Burgess was asked about her thoughts at the start of this season.

“I’m really excited to see how we can grow and I really think our program is onto something great. I’m also really excited about the new coaching and staff,” She said.
