The Lady Falcons have come out swinging with a league record of 9-2 and a season record of 10-6, despite many weather complications.

Sports are supposed to be hard, but with the weather and extra work it takes to set up the field for practice, it can be physically and mentally draining on the players.

“I am very proud of our young team on how they have handled adversity. Playing through winds, mud, rain, and even freezing temperatures, we have played through it all with more successes than failures.” Falcons Head Coach Paul Witt said.

The Lady Falcons had three non-league games to start off the season, losing to Santiam Christian, but splitting a double header against Elmira rivals, Junction City.

There are a few more non-league games scheduled for later in the season.

Falcon Softball has started strong in their league, swooping into the third spot in the Mountain Valley Conference with the Creswell Bulldogs in second and the Harrisburg Eagles in first.

The Falcons have clawed their way to an amazing league record, sweeping Siuslaw, La Pine, and Sisters in their three games series. They won their double headers versus Siuslaw and La Pine at home in front of the Falcon crowd.

EHS softball fell short to Harrisburg in the first two games of their three game series, but the Falcons will soar back into action against Harrisburg to finish their suspended game May 8.

“This young team just takes it in stride and keeps moving forward. I am very proud of where we are right now as a team,” Coach Witt explains.

Expecting nicer weather, the Falcons will travel to Pleasant Hill to face the Billies in a double header on May 5 at 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The next home game for the Falcons is May 8th. Come out and support the Falcons as they continue their great season!
