EHS Seniors Plan for Their Life Beyond High School

The fear of the unknown is very common and, with graduation coming up, this fear only grows, except for students who already have a plan.

Falcon News went out to find what seniors already have it all planned out, as well as the students who are not as confident in their future.

Question: What do you plan to do after high school?

Tanner Hunt: “Nature conservation.”

Bailey Cedarleaf: “Go to college, secret plans, probably adopt a few cats”.

Caleb Johnson: “Go to Linn Benton, for nursing.”

Brody Bothel: “Go to Lane Community College.”

Jack Reichenberger: “Go to U of O.”

Veronica Hansen: “I plan to go to Oregon State.”

Michael Brown: “Become a Veterinarian.”

Wayde Walton: “Go to any college that will accept me.”

Levin Cantwell: “Trade school.”

Noah Sawyer: “Welding.”

Q: Why do you want to do that?

Tanner Hunt : “I like nature.”

Bailey Cedarleaf: “I wanna become smarter.”

Caleb Johnson: “To become a nurse.”

Brody Bothel: “Because college is expensive.”

Jack Reichenberger: “I love Oregon.”

Veronica Hansen: “I chose Oregon State because its a good school.”

Michael Brown: “I love animals.”

Wayde Walton: “I want to continue my academic career.”

Levin Cantwell: “I like working.”

Noah Sawyer: “It is fun and pays well.”

Q: How are you going to do those things?

Tanner Hunt: “I’m gonna go to a community college.”

Bailey Cedarleaf: “I’m gonna get scholarships for college, that’s about it.”

Brody Bothel: “I’m going to try my dang hardest and just pray.”

Jack Reichenberger: “By being social and making friends.”

Veronica Hansen: “I’m going to study, get a schedule, keep good time management, and not procrastinate. I’ma stay on top of things.”

Michael Brown: “Go to school and get good grades like a normal person.”

Wayde Walton: “I’m going to go to school.”

Levin Cantwell: “Teamwork.”

Noah Sawyer : “By practicing and getting better each day.”

Q: What do you hope to major in and why?

Tanner Hunt: “Agriculture and nature conservation.”

Bailey Cedarleaf: “I am undecided because its secret.”

Caleb Johnson: “Nursing.”

Brody Bothel: “We will say diesel mechanic because it’s easy.”

Jack Reichenburger: “Sports business because the sports industry will never die.”

Veronica Hansen: “I want to major in English because I enjoy the subject and I also would like to pursue a teaching degree.”

Michael Brown: “Animal Science.”

Wayde Walton: “Business because its useful.”

Levin Cantwell: “Electrical because I enjoy it.”

Noah Sawyer: “Welding.”

Q: What’s your dream job?

Tanner Hunt: “Designing clothes for Will Walton.”

Bailey Cedarleaf: “To work at a plant nursery.”

Caleb Johnson: “To be a nurse.”

Brody Bothel: “Classic car restorer.”

Jack Reichenburger: “Be in charge of marketing for the Dodgers.”

Veronica Hansen: “I dream to teach elementary students.”

Micheal Brown: “Veterinarian.”

Wayde Walton: “One where I’m making a lot of money.”

Levin Cantwell: “Linemen.”

Noah Sawyer: “Break dancing.”

Q: What prepared you for after high school? 

Tanner Hunt: “I don’t know, the Bible.”

Jacob Janeczko: “Not much of anything.”

Brody Bothel: “My will to not be homeless.”

Jack Reichenburger: “I want to be successful.”

Veronica Hansen: “Nothing.”

Michael Brown: “My love for animals.”

Wayde Walton: “I learned a lot from sports.”

Levin Cantwell: “God did.”

Noah Sawyer: “Welding class.”

Q: Where do you see yourself living after graduation?

Tanner Hunt:

Bailey Cedarleaf : “In an apartment, probably Eugene. But I’ll probably be at my parents house.”

Caleb Johnson: “Linn Benton.”

Brody Bothel: “My parents basement.”

Jack Reichenburger : “The campus of U of O / dorms.”

Veronica Hansen : “I’m going to live with my family in Philomath.”

Michael Brown : “Somewhere you know in a home.”

Wayde Walton: “Depends where I go to school.”

Levin Cantwell: “I’m going to travel in a trailer as a linemen.”

Noah Sawyer : “Probably at my moms house.”

Q: Do you have any fears or concerns about life after high school?

Tanner Hunt: “No, monsters under the bed.”

Bailey Cedarleaf : “Money.”

Caleb Johnson: “Money, cause I’m poor.”

Brody Bothel: “Nah fear makes you weak and I’m not weak.”

Jack Reichenburger : “Nothing.”

Veronica Hansen : “I am afraid I will get into severe debt and also afraid that college will be too hard and I am not smart enough.”

Michael Brown: “Not being successful.”

Wayde Walton: “Getting struck by lightning.”

Levin Cantwell: “No.”

Noah Sawyer: “No.”

Q: What do you think you’ll be doing in 10 years?

Tanner Hunt: “Time.”

Bailey Cedarleaf: “I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow.”

Caleb Johnson: “Being a nurse cause I’m going to school for nursing.”

Brody Bothel: “Hopefully working maybe.”

Jack Reichenburger: “Working on my career.”

Veronica Hansen: “Probably still be alive. Working a full time job maybe have a house or rent a house.”

Michael Brown: “Living in a mansion.”

Wayde Walton: “Sleeping on Brody Bothel’s couch in his basement.”

Levin Cantwell: “Having a family.”

Noah Sawyer: “Same place I am now.”
