Elmira Wrestles at District Regionals, Places Second

The Elmira boys wrestling team went to Scio last week and competed to qualify for state.

The team overall placed second and is sending six wrestlers to state.

Senior Will Walton won all 4 of his matches and juniors Colton Barklow and Brett Highburger won all 3 of their matches to be district champions.

Senior Wayde Walton won 3 matches and lost 1. Senior Seth Drago won 2 matches and lost 1. They both placed 2nd.

The state tournament for both the boys and girls wrestling teams are February 23 and 24 at the MODA center in Portland.
