The event, emceed by senior parent and EHS staff member Mandy Storey and officiated by senior parent Doug Laing, raised nearly $1,400 for Grad Night for the class of 2022.

The night’s entertaining competition began between the juniors and seniors. The highlight might have been the uniforms, with the seniors sporting spandex shorts and crop tops, and the juniors completing their look with makeup.

The seniors finished on top in that match-up, winning two consecutive games to 15 points.

The seniors next faced the staff team. The staff brought “mad skills,” according to staff organizer Cortnie Peeler.

There were multiple lead changes, and the staff, students and spectators could “buy” points — it was a fundraiser, after all — to try to influence the outcome. The senior-staff match went all three sets (to 25 points, 25 points and 15 points). In the end, the seniors took home the win.

The senior players included Hayden Coone, Beau Koffler, Gavyn Laing, Jacob McLean, Joey Meyer, Blaise Pierson, Devon Schueller, Hunter Stockinger, Will Storey, Desmond Wilson, Zach Yost and Anton Zaporozhets. The senior coaches were Lyndsey Dart-Wilson, Jessica Janeczko and Kassidy Roe.

The juniors were represented by Jacob Janeczko, Caleb Johnson, Jacob King, Jack Reichenberger, Nio Turtura and Isaiah Wilson. The junior coaches were Veronica Hanson, Gracie Storey, Kelly Torres and Ashlyn Turnbo.

The staff team included Principal Rick Gardner, Assistant Principal Ricci Huling, Ken Best, Ian Cooper, Emmy Erwin, Ashley Haag Shannon Hart, Bo Highburger, Krin Hunt, Rob Lee, James Monegan, Michelle Nelson, Tessa Slager, John Wagner, Patrick Wondra and DesiRae Wright-Rendon. The staff team was coached by Sarah Wartenbee.
