{"id":7589,"date":"2023-02-27T16:51:14","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T16:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ehsfalconnews.org\/?p=7589"},"modified":"2023-03-03T18:16:26","modified_gmt":"2023-03-03T18:16:26","slug":"ehs-hosts-second-blood-drive-with-red-cross","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ehsfalconnews.org\/index.php\/2023\/02\/27\/ehs-hosts-second-blood-drive-with-red-cross\/","title":{"rendered":"EHS Hosts Second Blood Drive with Red Cross"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: The blood drive scheduled for March 3 has been canceled due to weather.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An opportunity to give and help lives returns with the Red Cross blood donation drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elmira High School, in coordination with the Red Cross, is hosting a community blood drive in the auxiliary gym from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. next Friday, March 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">National Honor Society members are leading the effort to get donors signed up and will serve as volunteers during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donors age 16 or older also can schedule an appointment by clicking this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redcrossblood.org\/give.html\/drive-results?zipSponsor=ElmiraHS\">https:\/\/www.redcrossblood.org\/give.html\/drive-results?zipSponsor=ElmiraHS<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After donating blood, contributors will be offered snacks and drinks, as well as an egift card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, contact NHS advisor Michelle Nelson at <a href=\"mailto:mnelson@fernridge.k12.or.us\">mnelson@fernridge.k12.or.us<\/a>, or talk with any NHS member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per Oregon Health Authority guidelines for health care facilities, masks will be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone with blood type O, B negative or A negative is eligible to maximize their blood donation and help more people via making a Power Red donation.
