Elmira High School students voted for Homecoming Court last Wednesday and the winners were announced Monday at an assembly.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Ninth-graders, sophomores, and juniors each voted for two people for their court and the senior class voted for three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ninth-grade class voted Marcel Romero and Paisley Davis for their court. The sophomore class voted for Parker Reed and Parker Lusk. The junior class voted Jake VanDamme and Kayla Hubbard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The senior class of 2025 voted for Gabriel Galaviz, Owen Booth and Mele Turtura.\u00a0Booth and Turtura were given their sashes, and Galaviz was not present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each member of the court will be honored at halftime of the football game on Friday and the winner of the senior royalty will be announced and crowned after.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The senior royalty will get to light the Elmira “E” on fire at the end of the game to continue the Homecoming tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class competitions have started and were announced at the assembly along with the homecoming court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the assembly, the senior class leads the school with five points, followed by the junior class with three points. The sophomore class has two and the ninth-grade class has one.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the week the class with the most points will win the Class Spirit Trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
