(courtesy photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Falcon cross country team left for Cascade High School early Saturday morning for the Darrel Deedon Invite, the first 5K race of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The runners found success, with senior and former 3A state runner Jude Carman earning first place with a time of 17:44.31. While not a personal record, the senior was still able to lead the pack by about 32 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Second year runner and junior Jake Van Damme achieved third place with a personal record of 18:19.78.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sophomore Thaddius Mason ran a 20:55.34, junior Hannah Yaskovic finished with a 26:16.87 and senior JT Myers finished in 28:54.29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rest of the Falcon runners competed in the 3K race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ninth-grader Ezra Carman finished top 10 with a time of 12:35.74. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Junior Stephen Lyle finished in 18:00.57, ninth-grader Ray Wise with a time of 20:10.20 and senior Awbrey Flowers finished in 22:24.94.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Falcon runners go on to host their home meet, the Country Fair Classic, on Wednesday.
