Junior JT Myers submitted a story titled “Orbit” to the Fiction Fantastic Young Writers Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Myers story “Orbit” was chosen as one of the top five finalists out of the 100+ stories that were submitted. There will be first, second and third place winners along with honorable mentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’m really surprised I won, I thought my story could be better in a lot of places, but I’m excited for it to be published in a book locally,” Myers shares about his own story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The top five finalists are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOrbit\u201d by JT Myers, Elmira High School
\u201cThe Rose Theater\u201d by Ishika Chakraborty, South Eugene High School
\u201cTo the Ends of the Earth\u201d by Brianna R. Bird, Springfield High School
\u201cWhispers in the Woods\u201d by Lauren Ellison, Marist High School<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first place winner gets $100, second place gets $50 and third place gets $25. Each finalist will have their stories published in the Fiction Fantastic Anthology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
