On Friday night, the Elmira Falcons faced off against Santiam Christian School for the big Homecoming game. The final score was 8-23, with Santiam scoring the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a huge crowd in the stands to cheer for the home team. The student section was full of students dressed in purple and gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Falcons held a tight defensive line throughout the game. After the first half, the score was 0-10, with Santiam leading, but not by much. Elmira had some great rushes down the field, edging them closer to scoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach Justin Peeler said his team played hard and did well on finishing their drives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian Drago scored a touchdown toward the end of the fourth quarter, and Beau Koffler made a two-point conversion, raising the Falcons’ score to eight points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dOur defense was solid, but the offense not so good,” Falcon player Tanner Hunt, #44, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Player Jaron Cadogan added, \u201dWe played a decent game. Obviously, there were a bunch of little mistakes, but overall our play was good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elmira is scheduled to play North Eugene at North Eugene this Friday at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
