It&#8217;s promoted as &#8220;a fun way to get together and to celebrate the fellowship that is being a veteran.&#8221; Participants plan to meet at the Veterans War Memorial at Skinner Butte Park, 248 Cheshire Ave. in Eugene, &#8220;for a few words&#8221; at 2:45 p.m. and then will head to the top of the butte at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Springfield, American Legion Post #40 and the City of Springfield will celebrate veterans starting at 11 a.m. Saturday with a virtual event. Council president Joe Pishioneri will speak, and musician Tom Schwetz will lead a performance of the national anthem. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/733756647240380\/\">Click here for the livestream<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Florence is hosting its annual <a href=\"https:\/\/florencechamber.com\/events\/annual-events-festivals\/veterans-day-parade\/\">Veterans Day Parade<\/a> from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
