{"id":10797,"date":"2023-11-02T10:56:02","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T17:56:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ehsfalconnews.org\/?p=10797"},"modified":"2023-11-12T20:37:19","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T04:37:19","slug":"interim-principal-cydney-vandercar-to-stay-beyond-2023-24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ehsfalconnews.org\/index.php\/2023\/11\/02\/interim-principal-cydney-vandercar-to-stay-beyond-2023-24\/","title":{"rendered":"Interim Principal Cydney Vandercar to Stay Beyond 2023-24"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elmira High School Principal Cydney Vandercar, who was hired on an interim basis for this school year, recently was named permanently to the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vandercar initially had a one-year contract, with Vice Principal Joel Smith taking over for the 2024-25 school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Smith and his wife are expecting a baby in March, so it was decided that Vandercar&#8217;s contract would change to keep her as principal on a permanent basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLove it here, love it here!\u201d Vandercar told Falcon News. \u201dI love how the community, students, teachers, everybody works together.
