December’s Song of the Month is “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters, submitted by EHS sophomore Owen Booth.
Booth said he nominated the song because of the drums and vocals.
“Everlong,” released in August 1997, is about being connected to someone so much that not only do you love them physically and spiritually, but when you sing along with them you harmonize perfectly.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl wrote the song about Louise Post, who he was dating after separating from his first wife, Jennifer Youngblood.
“Everlong” is the Foo Fighters’ signature song.
